1. Who we are

The Optimal Self (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website at theoptimalself.co (the “Site”) and the associated bloodwork analysis dashboard. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it.

2. What information we collect

Information you give us directly:

• Email address, when you join the book waitlist or sign up for early access.
• First name (optional), if you choose to include it when signing up.

Information we do NOT collect:

• We do not store any bloodwork values you enter into the dashboard. All calculations happen in your browser and are never sent to our servers.
• We do not collect payment information (the Site and dashboard are free).
• We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or any other personal identifiers beyond what you voluntarily provide.

3. How we use your information

We use the email address you provide solely to:

• Notify you when the Optimize Your Bloodwork for Longevity book launches on Amazon.
• Send you the free optimal-ranges reference guide we promise at signup.
• Share occasional related content about longevity, bloodwork, and the book (you can unsubscribe at any time).

We will never sell, rent, or trade your email address to any third party for their marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to manage our email list. When you submit your email, it is transmitted to and stored on Kit's servers in accordance with Kit's Privacy Policy. Kit is a US-based service provider that complies with applicable data protection laws.

We may in future add website analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the Site. If and when we do, we will update this policy to reflect that. As of the date above, no analytics service is active.

5. Cookies

The Site itself does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set technical cookies necessary for serving the website. The dashboard does not use cookies to store your bloodwork data, values exist only in your browser's memory during your session and are cleared when you close the tab.

6. Data retention

We keep your email on our list until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@theoptimalself.co, we will remove your address within 7 business days.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access, request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction, ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion, ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Objection, object to us processing your data for marketing purposes.
• Portability, receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@theoptimalself.co. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are based in the European Economic Area (EEA), you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

All data transmitted between your browser and our Site is encrypted via HTTPS. Your bloodwork values never leave your device. We use industry-standard practices to protect any personal data we hold, but no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. If changes are material, we will notify active subscribers by email.
